“The mixed-media visual artist Fernanda Porto (Porto Alegre, Brazil; lives and works in Berlin) has developed an international trajectory, in addition to her participation in the 14th Mercosur Bienal (2024) […].

Her current practice focuses on the Waves series, wall sculptures created with bio-resins, non-toxic polymers, and thermosensitive pigments. 

Porto's work is characterized by research into contemporary materials and their transformative potential. […] the artist explores biological and less toxic alternatives, thus integrating an ecological dimension into her practice. The resulting pieces transcend the condition of static objects: they are vibrant surfaces that evoke movement, rhythm, and energy, casting shadows and reflections that transform with light.”
